Stempel Form PC Architects / Hurricane, UT / 2010
While interning with Stempel Form PC Architects I assisted in the re-design of an elementary school. It was to be renovated into a community center that would attract the business of tourists travelling to the Grand Canyon and bring revenue into the small Utah town. The project was presented as a series of phases to allow for the Hurricane, Utah to raise money for a successful construction.
Ultimately the project allowed for the community to recconect. A new splashpad would be installed on the exterior as well as a new walking plaza for people to host picnics and parties during the summer heat. New basketball courts and play areas were also introduced for children. On the interior, renovations included space for commercial owners top rent out business lots as well as large rooms to hold town meetings.
