Providence, RI / 2010
With a team of my studio mates we designed a functioning community garden. To assists in the project proposal, to the city of Providence, we built a full scale model of a section of the garden. Our professor promoted the project to be designed by the terms “bending and weight” as our guidelines. We experimented by bending wood to manipulate light and create habitation for both human and plant life.
Flowing paths of individual garden planters were proposed to be rented and utilized by nearby residents of Providence, Rhode Island, which were all ADA accessible.
